You have only been home a short while with your newborn and you know you need some help.So now you are on your own with your new baby who didn't come with a set of instructions, fatigue has set in, and breastfeeding has turned out to more of a challenge than you thought.
What's a new mother to do?
At The Motherhood Center we have baby nurses and Doulas that can assist you during this transitional time. Especially if this is your first baby, we know that you can't be expected to know everything about caring for your infant.
The Postpartum Period
The postpartum period varies for each woman, but typically it lasts from 4 - 6 weeks depending on the orders from your physician. If you had acesarean birth, you should refrain from participating in any exercise program until you are given permission by your physician.
